Facebook updates iOS app

Facebook has brought massive upgrade in their performance in their latest iOS update. The new version uses a code for itself like other apps nowadays, unlike its previous version which used HTML 5, which is basically a normal web browser for loading the Facebook website for mobile phones.

This new version will allow you to scroll without any lagging.  They also brought a new UI with a different view for the photos found from your timeline. The performance and transition is very smooth, and you can tap on photos to view them. You can swipe up or down to close the photos. A banner on the top of the screen shows the new posts in your news feed so you can just tap on that banner to quickly jump to it.

No new version has been launched for Android mobiles. However, if you are a frequent user of Facebook, and you use the Facebook app very often on your iOS device, then you should download the new version. So what are you waiting for, start updating your Facebook app now!

Pinterest Releases App for iPADS

Pinterest which is a social photo sharing website was released last year where the users could ‘pin’ photos (either their own or photos found online) they liked and share them online. Users can also follow other people and the images they’ve pinned. Pinterest organizes the pictures into categories so it becomes easy to look at pictures we want to see.

Pinterest mobile application was only launched for iPhone last year, but now, due to its increasing popularity, they have also released an iPad version, as well as an Android version of Pinterest’s mobile app.

The Android app has similar user interface with the iPhone app and it has enough variance so that it does not look like a direct port. You can swipe right to see your profile or swipe left to see all various categories.

The iPad version is also good and also uses its screen real estate wisely, with a UI that closely resembles that of the Pinterest website. On the other hand, iPhone users get updates for stability and performance.

Both of the applications are free and can be downloaded from Apple App Store and in Play Store. But you will need to be a member to use it.
