Apple Grabs 71% of China’s Tablet Market
The new iPad and its smaller brother, the Mini is displaying its prowess by being the leading tablet in China even if it wasn’t even launched there yet. According to the latest statistical intel, for every four tablets sold three are manufactured by Apple.
This truly spells good news for Apple as it traverses the Chinese market. More specifically, the tablet division has been constantly improving with the annual tablet sales increasing by more than 60%. Added to that is the fact that starting the second quarter of the year, the tablet market has increased by 11%.
Following Apple at 10.52% is China’s very own, Lenovo. And according to the data, only Lenovo and Apple managed to get double digits as the other manufacturers were not even able to get 4% of the market.

So, the comparison analysis says that Apple’s offering is definitely not as lucrative as it should be.
One would have expected Apple to offer higher resolution display and more advanced CPU however the company introduced a Retina displays with 162 ppi pixel density on its 7.9-inch tablet for the premium price (for the segment) of $329 (16GB).
We cannot exactly say if the price of the Apple Mini is worth it or not. But for sure there are people who would be a lot of people convinced enough to shell out that kind of money for the tablet.

October 23 Will be the Next Apple Event Date, says Reuters
Several days ago, AllThingsD reported a very interesting bit of news. And that was about Apple and the event it will be hosting come October 23 for the announcement of the iPad Mini. Just about the same day, Jim Dalrymple of The Loop gave us his signature “Yep” when asked if the news is true. That pretty much confirms our speculations.
But now, Reuters provides its own credence to that news as they also confirmed the exact same date for the next Apple event. They didn’t really tell what the event will be about but it would be safe to say that it will be about the new slate.

Battery Unit of the Apple iPad Mini, Photos Leaked
A 4490mAh battery with 16.7Whr of energy and runs at 3.72 volts is rumored to be the battery unit set to power the iPad Mini. Those specs will tell us that this battery unit for the yet-to-be revealed slate is approximately three times that of the iPhone 5’s battery and just about a third of the latest iPad’s power.
We found this bit of rumor when alleged photos came out and the markings on the unit are more or less the same as the ones on the available Apple products. But none of these can be confirmed yet. Well, we will have to wait for the release of the iPad mini on October 23 just to be sure.

No iPad Mini Announcement on the 17th: Moved to October 23?
We are sure that iPad shoppers were quite excited when October 17 started, pretty worried in the middle and seemed lost when it went by without so much as a fuzz in the rumor mills. October 17 was supposed to be the day when the invitation for the Apple event will be handed out. Since we received no such news, it might be safe to say that those rumors will just remain rumors. But another day provides for another rumor. Hope is not entirely lost as this new rumor suggests that the announcement event was just postponed to October 23.
The new rumors offer the same standing as its predecessor but at least it holds together our almost-shattered hopes. The sources of this new rumor shared this tidbit with journalists at AllThingsD. AllThingsD seems to trust this new source.
If the rumors were to be taken as fact and the event will push through on the 23rd, Apple should be handing out the invites by next week so we will surely gather more intel by then. The end of October proves to be a very busy time for the tech world as the major players in the industry will be launching or announcing their new products by then.
The iPad Mini announcement on the 24th will be followed by the launching of Microsoft’s Windows 8 OS and its own tablet, the Surface tablet on the 26th. Three days after, the 29th, Microsoft will stage its Windows Phone 8 OS. LG’s Nexus phone is also believed to be launched on that same day.
The last few days are definitely going to be eventful.

Apple iPad Mini - What does it look like?
There has been so many videos leaked about how exactly the Apple iPad Mini looks like. Just like the iPhone 5 leak, it’s pretty sure that this rumor looks promising.
The iPad Mini looks like the smaller version of the iPad. Considering Apple’s conservative product design, this iPad Mini leak probably looks the real thing.
Rumor has it that the announcement of the iPad Mini will be done this October.
Most iPad users may think that the iPad could be a bit more compact to really enjoy it on the go. But with the Apple iPad Mini coming maybe these people would really enjoy this more compact tablet from Apple.

iPad Mini Shortage
The iPad Mini seemed to be the next awaited Apple product this year which is said to be scheduled for launch this end of October. The iPad Mini is yet to be launch but it is already expected that there will be a shortage of supply. It was said that finding the specs for the iPad Mini is challenging.
According to Brian White from Topeka Capital Markets, if it wasn’t for the complications of the specs supply, iPad Mini would have launched already last September. However, he said that despite the supply challenges, suppliers were able to produce an acceptable volume of iPad Mini for the launch next month. The challenges of iPad Mini supply might hold the full sales potential for a couple of months after it’s released.
The 7.85-inch iPad Mini is expected to cost between $250 and $300. More expensive compared to Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire and less expensive than the full blown iPad.
This device was said to maintain Apples iconic aesthetics of the current iPad and perhaps knock-out competitors’ tablet.

iPad Mini: The Revelation?
As of today, Apple remains tight-lipped about the possibility of adding another product to the iPad family, the iPad Mini. However, if the rumors be true, the innovative company is suiting up for an iPad Mini announcement which will probably be hitting the world on October 17. Wow, that’s just two weeks from now.
This exciting piece of news supposedly came from an Apple investor who got wind of these juicy bits from various sources and eagerly conveyed them to Fortune. If this event will truly push through, the VIPs will most possibly receive their invitations by email on October 10. So watch out for that!
Previously, a mockup of iPad Mini seeped out to the internet and showed us an aluminum 7.85-inch slate, using smaller lightning connector that was also released very recently.

Apple updated Facebook messenger in iOS
All things can’t be bad with Apple iPhone 5 as they have released a new cool update with their Facebook Messenger App.
These updates will allow iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to swipe to the left to see their online contacts. Users can also prioritize their contact list, like their favorite friends at the top of online list. This can reduce a need to scroll down to see their favorite contact.
The messages on this Facebook messenger have been updated as well. The messages now appear as speech bubbles, just like the messages that you have received on your inbox.
This updated app is already downloadable from App Store.

iOS 6 Released September 19th
The iOS 6 has been launched successfully with the cool new iPhone 5 and Apple has done a splendid job creating it. This OS was first shown in June 2012, as it announced that Apple won’t be partners with Google for the Google maps anymore and that the iDevices will have its own sets of maps, and other features including Passbook, Facetime over 3G, Facebook integration and Siri in the upcoming iPad 2.
Many Beta versions of the iOS 6 were released after the announcement and Apple again showed unwillingness to make a partnership with Google as it cancelled Google’s offer of pre installing the YouTube app, which now has to be downloaded from AppStore.
The iOS 6 supports most of the iDevices in use today. Apple has brought the update to iPhone 3GS and above for the iPhone series and the new iPad and iPad 2 for the iPad series and surprisingly, the update is also available for the fourth generation iPod touch.
The iPhone 5 has the iOS 6 already installed in it and all other devices by Apple, by now, should already update as the iOS 6 update was released on September 19th. The iPhone 5 was released on September 21st.
On the back hand, if you have an iPhone 3G or older, or the iPad original, you will not get the latest iOS6 update. So it’s a good time to start saving for an iPhone 5!
